We are then transferred to our hotel and have the balance of the day free.

  2. Day 2 - Kathmandu
    durbar-square-kathmandu Today we explore the Kathmandu valley, starting at the Durbar Square located in the heart of old city Kathmandu. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity. We will visit the 17th Century Durbar complex, Hanuman Dhoka, the Paravati Temple, the Great Bell and Drum, Bhairav, the Taleju Temple and an array of temples grouped around it, as well as the Temple of the Living Goddess, the Kumari. We then head to the stupa of Swayambhunath, located on a green hillock west of Kathmandu. The site marks the point where the legendary patriarch Manjushree discovered the lotus of the ancient Valley Lake and is over 2,500 years old. The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu. In the afternoon we visit Bhaktapur¸ also known as Bhadgaon and home to exquisite of medieval art & architecture. A city of farmers, Bhaktapur is also known for its pottery and weaving. It is the best preserved of the valley’s three cities.  Please Note: In the early morning you may take an optional scenic flight over the breathtaking Himalayas to see Mount Everest and other peaks.

  3. Day 3 - Kathmandu / Chitwan (Drive: 180 kms / 5-6 hrs
    After breakfast we drive through scenic mountain highway to Chitwan National Park. Chitwan National Park is proud to be called Asia’s one of the best managed parks and is home to ovesr 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and 525 species of birds. Wildlife that thrive here include; the great one-horned Asian Rhinoceros, Gaur, wild Bison, sloth Bear, four different species of Deer, the Rhesus Monkey and the black-faced Langur, the spotted Leopard, the fish-eating Gharial, the flesh-eating marsh Crocodile and the Gangetic Dolphin among many others. It is also one of the last refuges of the Royal Bengal tiger. On arrival we check into our resort. 
    Afternoon embark on a thrilling safari to explore the jungle and the various wildlife and if lucky, the elusive nocturnal Royal Bengal tiger too.

  4. Day 4 - Chitwan
    Full day jungle activities such as jungle/nature walk, dugout canoe ride and tribal village visit etc. Jungle walk tour allows to explore different habitat, from the flood-plain grassland to the dense Sal forests, where you get the opportunity of good animal sights at your own pace. Since it disturbs the animals less while walking through the forest, it is usually a better chance for discovering wildlife. During the walk, we also get a chance to see the different kind of plants and herbs in the National park. The naturalists can give thorough descriptions of the wildlife and herbs there. 
    Floating down on the River by dugout canoe is the best way to discover the habitat of crocodiles on the bank of the river. It is also a relaxing and better way to watch the different kind of aquatic birds and wildlife species when they come to the bank of the river to drink water. 
    Lunch at the resort
    Go on a conducted tour to the nearby Tharu village. Tharu are indigenous people of the Terai. They have a distinct architectural style, building solely of the natural materials found in the area; straw, wood and mud. The villages are often peaceful, non-industrial havens, with the inhabitants engaged in a yearly agricultural circle.  (Jungle activities may be changed or altered depending on the requirement and situations) Evening, slide show on flora & fauna of the Chitwan park OR folk dance performance by local tribal group. People of the nearby villages (Tharu) will show some of their traditional skills and melodious tribal dances.

  5. Day 5 - Chitwan/ Pokhara (Drive: 160 kms/5 hrs)
    nepal After breakfast we drive through scenic mountain highway to Pokhara. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchantinarrival we check into our hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. g town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic.

  6. Day 6 - Pokhara
    Early morning, we take an excursion to Sarangkote hill for closer Mountain View. Sarangkote is the most popular viewpoint in Pokhara. Situated at an altitude of 1,592m, Sarangkote offers the magnificent view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Massif (weather permitting). After that we drive back to hotel for breakfast.
    After breakfast, we visit Pokhara including Davi’s fall, the old Bazaar and Bindhyabasini Temple. Locally known as Patale Chhahgo, Davi’s fall is an awesome waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of the center on the highway to Tansen. In July 1961, Swiss couples were bathing in the stream Pardi Khola, just above the fall. A sudden flood from the Fewa Dam swept away Mrs. David and mysteriously disappeared down in to an underground passage beneath the fall and since fall has been called Davi’s fall. Pokhara’s traditional old bazaar is colorful and is ethnically diverse. Newar architecture and craftsmanship is expressed in its temple and windows. The past richness is expressed in its art and craftsmanship. Bindhyabasini Temple is the center of religious activities in the old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess, Bhagawati, and another manifestation of Shati. 
    Later, we enjoy boat ride on Phewa Lake. Phewa Lake is the largest lake in Pokhara valley, measuring 1.5 by 4km. lake is best situated for boating and Bird watching and especially photographing the scenic mountains. The excellent settings of the lake and the reflections of the Annapurna Mountains is something no visitors would like to miss during a boating trip. Annapurna rises directly from the valley floor and seems close enough to touch.

  7. Day 7 - Pokhara/ Kathmandu (Drive)
    shiv-parvati-yemple-kathmandu After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu retracing the same highway. On arrival we check into our hotel. Early evening, we are transferred to the Nepali restaurant to enjoy authentic Nepali dinner which is usually served together with `rakshi’, the Nepali rice-wine. They will also present dances performed by different communities of Nepal like Newars, Sherpas, Magars, Gurungs, Tamangs, Tharus etc; using typical music instruments and dances mimicking animals and birds. This will be a good experience for tourists to experience local food and dances from different communities in Nepal.

    Tips are not included in the tour price and tipping is entirely at your discretion.

  2. FAQ 2 Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?

    Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels. Please contact our Specialist for price information. Please also note that extra accommodations must be booked outside of 30 days of departure.

  3. FAQ 3 Who are my travelling companions?

    For privacy reasons, we cannot provide you with advance details on your traveling companions. However, our tours appeal to a wide range of travelers, most of whom share a traveling passion and a desire to experience these destinations at a grass-roots level. Our tours are conducted in English and so they attract many travelers from Canada, North America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

  4. FAQ 4 How many people can join a tour?

    We keep our group sizes very flexible. So a group of 7 or a group of 70, we welcome all with the same zeal and fondness.

  5. FAQ 5 What are the age restrictions on your tours?

    There are no upper age limits for most of our tours (although for tours under ‘Trekking in the Himalayas’ and ‘Himalayan Panorama’ requires a fit medical condition. For the same, we have a ‘Medical Form’ which is mandatory to be filled by all age groups). For children below the age of 12 years, a parent/guardian should be present. If an assistance is needed, it is to be mentioned at the time of booking. The same will be chargeable.

  6. FAQ 6 I'm a single traveler, will I be charged a single supplement?

    All of our trips have a single supplement. The cost and the details vary by trip, so please refer to each tour page for details.

  7. FAQ 7 Can you provide me with a list of the hotels we will be staying at?

    We use a variety of hotels en-route and a complete list of hotels is provided for your tour. Hotel voucher of each hotel registered for the tour is shared too.

  8. FAQ 8 Can I join a tour late or leave it early?

    It is possible to join a tour late or leave a tour early. Though you would be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please consult our Specialist before you book your tour.

  9. FAQ 9 Are airport transfers included?

    All of our tours include airport transfers and the prices for the same are included in our tour rates.

  10. FAQ 10 What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?

    Our ‘General Conditions’ includes the details of all the transports used during the entire service. The details can be found on each individual tour page.

  11. FAQ 11 What clothing should I pack for one of your tours?

    We always recommend packing as light as possible however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Our 'General Conditions' includes a suggested packing list and these can be downloaded from each individual tour page. The checklist is tour specific and based upon the experience of our ground staff.

  12. FAQ 12 What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?

    We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or a duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down hotel staircases.

  13. FAQ 13 What vaccinations are recommended for this tour?
